Grand Theft Auto 4 Complete Edition

While Rockstar Games has been getting their PlayStation 2-era Grand Theft Auto games read for Mac, it looks like they've also been prepping a new "Grand Theft Auto 4" Complete Edition bundle that will wrap the core game up with "The Lost and the Damned" and "The Ballad of Gay Tony." The two add-on packs were already released separately and together as "Episodes from Liberty City," but both Amazon and GameStop have listed a new edition, and box art has been made for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 offerings.

Niko Bellic, Johnny Klebitz, and Luis Lopez will come together for a release date on October 26, if the information on the two sites is correct. It's possible that the date is just a place holder since the edition hasn't been officially announced yet, but it would be pretty strange for two major retailers to have these listing assets and info for a product that doesn't exist at all.

With no "GTA 5" shipping in 2010, Rockstar's focus for the franchise has instead been on making sure old games are in good shape with ratings boards and available for new platforms if possible.

That's not to knock the effort they've put into "Red Dead Redemption" this year, which has been considerable, but a lot of GTA fans are going to be looking for news about the series' next stop in 2011.

Were you disappointed that Rockstar didn't announce a GTA sequel in 2010? Are you interested in buying the Complete Edition of "GTA 4"? Share your responses with us in the comment section below.
